The opportunity where you will make an impact:

 

This position is in the forefront of regional eCommerce activities and furthering the initiatives to accelerate eCommerce growth and profitability across Asia. Additionally, the role will lead the implementation of best practice around key Commercial capabilities, for example distributor management and Joint Business Plans.

 

You will act as the Business Owner to drive eCommerce business strategy development, owning the regional strategy formulation and development including but not limited to assess the landscape, identify key issues and opportunities, working with key stakeholders such as Supply Chain and establishing strategies in order to deliver the overall business objectives for Asia. A focal point position to lead the entire Asia eCommerce tailored made strategies and business plans bringing together various regional functions to define & execute sell-in and sell through opportunities on eCommerce channels throughout GPN Asia markets.

 

You will report to General Manager, Asia but will also integrate seamlessly as part of the Asia Leadership team.

 

What you will bring to GPN:

  • Assuming the full P&L responsibilities for the eCommerce business in Asia. 
  • Providing strong leadership and management of the Business.
  • Setting and deploying tailored made strategies for Glanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN), understanding & analyzing the potential growth of opportunities across Asia including key marketing such as South East Asia, Japan & Korea.
  • Providing a clear strategy and KPI set up, sales plans, promotional activities plans according to aligned business strategy.
  • Regularly monitor sales results & other KPIs, making analysis, and improvement action plans execution across Asia.
  • Actively consulting & supporting the business teams on account negotiations, product presence improvements, Merchandising & Product Content improvements while understanding eCommerce best practices to reach eCommerce sales goals for Asia.
  • Drive regular business reviews & engagement with key eCommerce platforms in Asia.
  • Establish partnerships with e-tailers, marketplaces to accelerate eCommerce growth & profitability. 
  • Developing the strategy for, and building capability of Distributor Management within the Commercial team, building up & maintaining strong relationships and design RTM for eCommerce channel with partners in all channels, but particularly eCommerce in a professional manner.
  • Developing the strategy and capability for Joint Business Plans program for the Asia region, including working with Commercial leads to identify appropriate partnerships for key brands, developing strong relationships and making business plans.
  • Manage the eCommerce business operations including but not limited to inventory and warehouse, logistics and distribution, sales forecast management and P&L management etc.
  • Appoint agency (if needed) and working closely with appointed agencies and eCommerce teams in Asia to drive traffic and traffic delivering superior consumer shopping experience, optimizing online flagship stores including branding, design, navigation, assortment, site content, traffic generation and demand generation.
  • Take the lead of building up strong brand presence online to a scalable level across Asia with strong collaboration with key regional stakeholders. 
  • Report on the expansion progress on a monthly basis and ensuring all KPIs set and aligned with key stakeholders are managed and delivered on schedule.

The Preferred Candidate:

  • Possess more than 10 years of business experience with the last 3 years driving eCommerce initiatives and building eCommerce business from scratch.
  • Possess current or previous experience in establishing the entire business on eCommerce as a key channel across Asia.
  • Strong working knowledge of different eCommerce platforms such as Lazada, Amazon & Rakuten as well as other leading local eCommerce players (Cross Border, D2C) in Asia.
  • Able to learn quickly and apply best practices to both process & technology solutions to drive regional eCommerce strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Analytics & Digital Marketing exposure preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Ability to glean key quantitative & qualitative insights from data insights with credibility & persuasiveness to ensure those insights are built into GTM (Go to Market) plans and strategies.
  • Strong decision-making skills with a track record of leading multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proven leadership skills & stakeholder management derived from having direct responsibility for building and leading a cohesive, high performing team while working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement and flexibility in a changing work environment.
  • Frontend customer experience focused on acquiring and retaining customers.
