Technical Business Development Manager

 

OVERVIEW

The technical business development manager role reports to the Senior Business Development Manager and will also work closely with the Product Management team. The role is based in market in Japan. The primary purpose of the role is to develop new and exciting value adding opportunities for Glanbia Ireland by fostering exceptional and trusting relationships with existing and yet to be discovered customers. You will be technically fluent and entrepreneurial in spirit. All things new excite you and you in turn will excite our customers and our own business stakeholders. Success in this role is contagious.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • To become an indispensable contact to our Asian customers and prospects and to be their voice in our business as well as being a cultural ambassador for the region.
  • To discover, develop and support the commercialisation of innovative opportunities that create value for sharing between our customers and the Glanbia business.
  • Develop value adding propositions with compelling technical and financial evidence of the value creation to be delivered.
  • To use market insights to authenticate and improve our product roadmap strategies for each sector that you convince us to serve.
  • To support and inform the strategy design and execution by galvanising our internal resources to support our market stakeholders need. You will do this by building trust through action for our existing and target customers and other market stakeholders.
  • To support and heavily influence the on-going transformation of the regional business to become a bona fide solutions provider.
  • To develop a position of trust with Glanbia’s core route to market partners (& prospective partners) in the region.
  • Contribute towards the collation of market intelligence and the competitive landscape on a weekly basis.
  • Project management/participation in GI projects and strategic project programmes as defined by the business
  • Excellent relationship builder.
  • Technically fluent in the relevant Glanbia and competitive landscape offerings.
  • Proficient in creating & delivering on evidence based value adding proposals.
  • Be capable of seeing, understanding and adapting to the bigger picture.

  • Business Development Metrics
  • Number of customer innovation projects accepted by the relevant business forums.
  • Portfolio Margin growth%
  • Project tracking KPI’s
  • Other individual KPI’s as may be agreed necessary from time to time for the benefit of the GII business.
  • Living the values.
  • Prior experience within a similar role either in a technical and or commercial capacity.
  • Cultural alignment essential.
