Overall Responsibility/ Job Purpose

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer relationships in the Japan Market by consistently providing excellent customer care and top quality products at the best profit margins.  Provide strategy for growth, and management of sales team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities (not restrictive)

1. Plan and introduce nutritional & functional concepts with products of Glanbia Nutritionals and develop the new market in the food industry sectors such as dairy, health and wellness, dietary  supplements, beverage, bakery & confectionery, and other processed foods (60%)

2. Communicate with PSM, R&D team, or supply chain team for any information requests from customers and ensuring response in timely manner (20%)

3. Develop good relationship with customers in cooperation with commercial director Japan (20%)

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Food/Nutrition Science or Sales & Marketing with Technical background, or equivalent. 

Experience Required:

  •       5-10 years sales management experience in food industry
  •        Sales development experience of nutritional and functional food ingredients, and strong connection with customers

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • People skill – flexible to work with international team and self motivated as it requires self development work.
  • Excellent track record of communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to understand, analyze and follow through on project needs, customer needs and market trends

     Language, Computer &   Numeracy:

 Business level of English in writing and speaking
