Job Summary

The Procurement Coordinator will operate in a rapidly expanding, fast moving, and complex business with supervision.  Will support the delivery of Procurement Operations tactics and strategy, managing risk, supporting cost savings initiatives, achieving KPI’s and ensuring consistent delivery of products and services while ensuring the day to day operations delivers and runs efficiently.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)

  • Approve assigned requisitions ensuring sources of supply are in line with category strategy and proper procedures are followed in the requisition creation process
  • For those requisitions which are not reviewed by the Coordinator, run regular reports to review spend and ensure alignment with category strategy and proper procedures are followed in the requisition creation process
  • Review purchasing systems/processes for inefficiencies and risks and drive improvement projects
  • Support consolidation of supply base efforts by running reports of tail end spend and making recommendations to the category team members for consolidation
  • Review spend reports in order to make recommendations for catalog development in Ariba
  • Understand the purchasing systems such that the Coordinator can train users and provide first line response for issues
  • Maintain LIV log, monitoring invoice variances to ensure pending invoices are corrected and cleared by the owners in a timely manner and manage projects to resolve root cause of variances
  • Process order change requests as assigned
  • Support vendor payment escalation issues by ensuring appropriate action is taken by requisitioners and AP
  • Manage the Evaluated Receipts/Settlements (ERS) order and payment processes
  • Audit supplier order confirmations for Terms and Conditions violations
  • Support the CM team by tracking the realized value of projects designated on the savings tracker   
  • Run day-to-day sourcing activities and eTenders from Glanbia’s preferred supply base, escalating souring activities to the category team as required
  • Update Prices in PDM/SAP as assigned (under direction of the Category team)*
  • Support Resolution of Assigned Category/Site Daily Issues
  • Coordinate receipt of updated supplier documentation as directed*
  • Manage credit process ensuring credits owed to Glanbia by suppliers are received (as assigned)*
  • Foster the Glanbia culture of “The Customer Champion” through outstanding service with a “can do” attitude

 

*Where not managed by category team

Some activities above will be performed for the Direct and Indirect categories but primary focus will be on Indirect purchasing activities.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training:

  • University degree in related field preferred (equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered)

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of business experience; college education can take the place of work experience
  • Working knowledge of and experience with food or fortification manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Strong business understanding and orientation and effectively handles multiple, rapidly changing and conflicting priorities

Language, Computer &   Numeracy:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English required
  • Experience with and solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP and Ariba with the ability and desire to work within and progress such complex systems with eTender and Business Objects experience also preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
