Procurement Agent – Planner Dairy

   

The Opportunity 

Are you passionate about driving productivity and improving customer service? Join our team as a Procurement Agent, where you’ll manage business unit-level projects and operational excellence initiatives. You’ll play a crucial role in enhancing our Planning and Procurement processes, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. This permanent position will report to the Regional Procurement Operations Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following; 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for planning material requirements and purchase order management.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement innovative processes.
  • Ensure KPIs are met and report on supply challenges.
  • Lead S&OE meetings and support procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams and Supply-Chain Demand Planners to order direct materials.
  • Process orders, manage requirements, and communicate with planning, production, and customer service teams.
  • Implement change projects to improve service levels and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate logistics for inbound materials and supplier returns.

 

  The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Preferred experience in procurement within the food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, strong analytical skills, and project management abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree suggested; APICS CSCP and ISM CPSM/CPSD certifications are beneficial.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams effectively.
