Overview of role


In 2021, we made great strides in realising our DE&I Strategy and vision, building foundations across our governance, talent, data and marketing activities. In 2022 we are looking to build on these achievements as we roll out a multi-year plan toward a more equitable and inclusive organisation. We are looking for an ambitious organised and passionate individual to support the VP of DE&I in the realisation of our strategy. The ideal person will provide crucial support in three areas.

  1. Project management. Comfortable working with plans, milestones, project reports and managing stakeholders. Style is as important as substance, so the ideal person will have excellent people skills, understanding of the many issues affecting diversity, equity and inclusion and will be nimble enough to problem solve in changing circumstances.
  2. Develop and support the network of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that we are establishing across the organisation. These are regular forums that provide a safe supportive space for people to share their experiences, develop ideas and influence policy.  We have a global Women’s ERG initiated, which will soon be followed by a multi-cultural group and a group for the LGBTQ+ community. You will have the organizational skills to set up and manage these groups and help them on their way to autonomy.
  3. Data analysis and reporting. We are still developing regular reporting and DE&I dashboards to share with our leaders. Whilst we have some support from our HR Information Systems (HRIS) team, you will need to be data savvy, comfortable with technology and able to stitch data together from disparate sources to tell a coherent story.

The role is full time and mainly home-based and will support the VP of DE&I who is in the Chicago area.  US location is preferable but will consider other locations for the right candidate.


Key Elements of the Role

  • Provide project management, including detailed project plans, facilitating regular project meetings, providing status reports and stakeholder communications
  • Work with the agreed data partner (likely to be the HR Information System (HRIS) team) to gather data on population and demographics. Create a monthly dashboard of same.
  • Support the design, administration and analysis of regular DE&I surveys and report results, as directed by the VP of DE&I
  • To plan, organise and support the development of Employee Resource Groups, including facilitating or identifying guest speakers, as directed by the VP of DE&I
  • To support the development of local diversity & inclusion strategies by providing centralised information, access to data and where necessary additional support calls to ensure alignment to the global DE&I strategy.
  • To support the VP of DE&I in bringing the latest thinking and best practices and research to the DE&I networks and stakeholders.
  • To provide concise, accurate and clear reports to the VP of DE&I as per requirements of the project, strategy or leadership needs at the time.


Skills & Experience

  • Ideally qualified to degree level with 5 years previous experience in either a project management or analyst role.
  • Proven experience in managing projects including detailed planning and progress reporting.
  • Knowledgeable in the area of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.  Understand best practices and how to effect change in the space.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and in writing (fluent in English).
  • Comfortable with technology and experience of using data analytical tools to develop comprehensive reports and dashboards.



  • A detailed planner, able to coherently schedule, organise and prioritise activities to achieve an agreed outcome in a set timeframe.
  • A problem-solver, able to think on your feet and address issues, challenges and risks as they arise, to ensure that the project remains on track.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels and demonstrate both empathy and assertiveness when communicating.
  • Passionate about the area of DE&I and even without lived experience, can demonstrate strong advocacy for diverse and under-represented groups and minorities. Having knowledge of the US landscape on issues impacting DE&I is beneficial.
  • Data- savvy; able to bring disparate information together and tell a coherent story of cause and effect through analysis and reporting. 
  • Commercially aware and demonstrates a big picture understanding of the business, its interrelationships, and priorities.
