Role Profile
Based at Belview in South Kilkenny the role has overall responsibility for the Site and the manufacture of dairy ingredients used in the infant formula and nutrition categories. The role reports to the Head of Ingredient Operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Belview Site Management Team in the delivery of Site Performance across Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Customer, Throughput, Financial and People related KPIs.
- Collaborate with the Tirlán Commercial team in the planning and implementation of Customer requirements in line with overall Site KPIs and business requirements
- Lead the Site Management team in the development and deployment of Belview’s risk management strategy
- Champion and role model Belview’s Quality Standards in line with the Quality Management System.
- As Site Lead take a leadership role in ensuring compliance across all Site related activities and systems in line with Belview’s and Tirlán’s Management Systems.
- Take a leadership role in the adoption and implementation of LEAN methodology and practice through Tirlán’s Business Excellence Systems
- Maximise the financial performance of the Site through development and implementation of cost control and site optimisation programmes
- Take a leadership role in management of stakeholders across other functions within Tirlán to optimise service delivery in line with customer and overall KPI requirements
- Continuously develop and implement performance measures and management systems across the site which utilises data to improve core KPIs and ensure the business performs at world class manufacturing standards
- Create and embed a culture on site which maximises employee engagement levels and promotes the Belview Site as an employer of choice in the region
- Implement a governance and communications model that ensures all employees have access to the information they need to do be effective in their job
- Actively lead and promote a culture of Safety, Compliance, Excellence and Continuous Improvement
Requirements
- A third level qualification in a Science, Food, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years Management experience in the Food, Pharmaceutical or Beverage manufacturing sector
- Results focussed, customer centric, with high performance capability in a fast moving challenging business environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to develop employees, creating a strong culture of employee engagement
- Proven commercial acumen to meet strategic operational imperatives
- Proven track record of continuous improvement within a lean manufacturing environment
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- High-level multi-tasking ability and experience of project delivery to demanding targets
