Role Profile
Located in our office in Citywest, Dublin, & reporting to the Head of Category & Channel Marketing & Innovation, The Category Marketing Manager – Food is a key leadership role responsible for delivering the performance and growth of Tirlán’s food portfolio, which includes some of Ireland’s most loved brands including Avonmore and Kilmeaden.. This role leads the development and execution of marketing strategies that drive volume, value, and profit, while building brand equity and consumer relevance. It is accountable for delivering best-in-class marketing communications, omni-channel execution, and innovation planning. As a people leader, the role also manages and develops a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and creativity as well a playing an integral role on the Marketing & Innovation Leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver volume, value, and profit targets for the food category, ensuring alignment with the annual business plan.
- Lead the development and execution of the food category strategy, aligned to business growth objectives.
- Deliver and support the communication strategy, deploying and evolving the creative platform to land best-in-class communications through the funnel.
- Manage the integrated brand communications and campaign planning process across annual operating plans and key initiatives.
- Develop and implement omni-channel marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media, ensuring consistency and impact at every touchpoint.
- Translate consumer, shopper, and market insights into actionable plans that drive category growth and brand equity.
- Support the development of a three-year innovation pipeline strategy in collaboration with R&D and the Head of Category & Channel Marketing and Innovation.
- Monitor category and brand performance, providing recommendations to optimise mix, pricing, and promotional effectiveness.
- Manage cross-functional project teams to deliver innovation and marketing campaigns on time and on budget.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketers, creating a high-performance culture focused on growth, creativity, and delivery.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in brand, category, or marketing roles within FMCG or retail.
- Proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience working with creative and media agencies to deliver high-impact communications.
- Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and omni-channel marketing.
- Experience managing innovation and renovation projects from concept to launch.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams.
- Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced environment.
