Sales Development Manager
(Foodservice – Greater Dublin area )

Role Profile
We have an opportunity for a Sales Development Manager to join Tirlán. Reporting to and working closely with the Foodservice Account Manager, Field Sales & Agents, the successful candidate will effectively manage a team of agents across a range of Foodservice Customers to achieve the sales, distribution and margin mix targets for their area.
Responsibilities
- Acquire a thorough understanding of Foodservice customer needs and requirements and efficiently meet and deliver these needs.
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives in line with our growth strategy, with the key focus being on Standard branded milk volumes, Value Added Milk, Cream, & butter sales .
- Play an integral part in generating new customers that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
- Develop and build a professional business relationship with all customers through regular visits to review sales and product performance.
- Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner in line with orders and agreed delivery.
- Serve as the link of communication between all customers and deal with complaints in a timely manner.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal stakeholders. Process new account forms and update pricing through the commercial manager to internal stakeholders.
- Where necessary, engage, manage and coach agents delivering to customers for and on behalf of Tirlán.
- Support agents in management of own sales to their own customer base.
Requirements
- Third level qualification in Business or a related subject or proven experience in a similar role.
- 3 years’ experience in a sales or management role, preferably in Foodservice.
- Computer skills to ECDL or similar.
- Resilience and self-motivation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of delivering on targets and deadlines.
- Experienced in problem solving and conflict resolution.
- Strong commercial knowledge and financial acumen.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Proven ability in consistently developing new ideas which will benefit both the business and the customer.
- Active participation at team and cross functional team meetings.
