Role Profile

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant position within the Accounting & Reporting (A&R) team. The successful candidate will support A&R Managers and Senior A&R Managers in ensuring the timely and accurate financial accounting and management reporting with key responsibility for the reporting of period end, year end and all planning processes

 

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely preparation and submission of monthly and year-end financial and management accounts and reporting packs to Group and Senior Management.                                                  
  • Preparation of consolidated group and subsidiary financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.                                                                                                                                                             
  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial consolidation including financial reports and analysis for the Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team and Annual Report.
  • Provide analysis and supporting information to assist management teams in understanding business performance and drive value added decision making.
  • Production of balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of relevant controls. 
  • Assist the A&R manager in supporting the business on ad hoc operational and commercial reporting requirements
  • Lead and participate in projects, including cross functional collaboration as needed                   
  • Pro-actively monitor and identify opportunities to enhance and improve controls, systems, and processes in line with evolving business needs.
  • Liaise with both internal and external auditors and input into schedules for statutory reporting and tax compliance as required.
  • Advocate for adherence to the Group Policy manual and procedures and keep informed of updates to ensure ongoing compliance of ledgers under their control.

 

 

Requirements

  • Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
  • 2 to 3 years post qualification experience ideally in a multinational organisation or professional practice.
  • Strong financial reporting (IAS/IFRS) background and risk management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including report writing.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial and commercial issues and clearly communicate proposals to stakeholders.
  • A self-starter, with a high degree of analytical rigour with the ability to think commercially and strategically while working with detail.
  • A strong collaborator who can challenge and influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of ERP systems, SAP & Data Warehousing platforms (or similar) and report design is desirable
