Overview & Responsibilities
We are hiring for a Project Engineer at Tirlán to assist with the delivery of projects specifically focused on the delivery of sustainability commitments over the coming years. With a flexible base across any of a number of Tirlán sites, the role will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordination, tracking and reporting of projects, across all Tirlán sites, associated with the delivery of company sustainability commitments on energy efficiencies, carbon emissions reductions and water intensity optimization.
- Monitoring of project progress in line with objectives, deliverables and timelines – addressing potential delays including mitigation actions and escalation where necessary.
- Play a key role in the identification, approval & delivery of specific carbon reduction measures across multiple sites.
- Work within a cross functional multidiscipline team environment.
- Assist with the development of project budgets, scope and system performance targets for tendering to external contractors.
- Review of tender submissions and design proposals from external contractors
- Management of the implementation of certain projects – projects are executed both in house and by external contractors.
- Ensuring projects are carried out in accordance with the sites stringent engineering standards and Environmental / Health & Safety / Quality requirements.
Requirements
- 3rd level qualification in Chemical, Mechanical, Process or Sustainability Engineering.
- 1 years’ experience in a similar role ideally
- Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD and Solidworks is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent communication – verbal & written
- Motivated and self-driven
- Proactive and innovative problem solver
- Good analytical and IT skills
- Ability to travel between sites as required is essential
- Focus on sustainability
