Overview & Responsibilities

We are hiring for a Project Engineer at Tirlán to assist with the delivery of projects specifically focused on the delivery of sustainability commitments over the coming years.  With a flexible base across any of a number of Tirlán sites, the role will report to the Senior Engineering Manager for Sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordination, tracking and reporting of projects, across all Tirlán sites, associated with the delivery of company sustainability commitments on energy efficiencies, carbon emissions reductions and water intensity optimization.
• Monitoring of project progress in line with objectives, deliverables and timelines – addressing potential delays including mitigation actions and escalation where necessary.
• Play a key role in the identification, approval & delivery of specific carbon reduction measures across multiple sites.
• Work within a cross functional multidiscipline team environment.  
• Assist with the development of project budgets, scope and system performance targets for tendering to external contractors.
• Review of tender submissions and design proposals from external contractors
• Management of the implementation of certain projects – projects are executed both in house and by external contractors.
• Ensuring projects are carried out in accordance with the sites stringent engineering standards and Environmental / Health & Safety / Quality requirements.

Requirements

• 3rd level qualification in Chemical, Mechanical, Process or Sustainability Engineering.
• 1 years’ experience in a similar role ideally
• Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD and Solidworks is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
• Excellent communication – verbal & written
• Motivated and self-driven
• Proactive and innovative problem solver
• Good analytical and IT skills
• Ability to travel between sites as required is essential
• Focus on sustainability
