Role Profile:

The Ingredients Transport Coordinator will report to the Ingredients Transport Manager and is responsible for transport planning, co-ordination activities in-conjunction with 3rd party hauliers and service providers to ensure an efficient and effective transport service is provided to Tirlan. The role may require inter-site travel and weekend cover.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create optimal transport plans servicing the requirements laid out by the Supply chain planning function
  • Work closely with the Ingredients Transport Manager, and business functions constantly striving to develop and improve the collection and delivery process through the use of data and IT systems supporting internal cost management programs
  • Hand over coherent transport plans to the Ingredients transport team and support fluctuations and adjustments from the Supply Chain planning function.
  • Ensure full compliance for all Drivers / Hauliers entering any Customer location or Tirlan site
  • Be the point of contact for all Hauliers, liaising daily to ensure they provide the service required at the level agreed, and also to ensure they have the tools and information required to fulfill their duties
  • Ensure all hauliers are compliant and operating within current best practices in particular those outlined by the RSA, HSA and Department of Agriculture
  • Analyse reports which would include routing reports, quality reports, mileage usage, where relevant, truck maintenance reports, and other service reports and action any discrepancies or unrealised value arising from these reports.
  • Deal with plants, suppliers and customers ensuring quality of service and managing any complaints or service issues/requests that might arise.
