Role Profile
Tirlán are recruiting for the position of Senior Territory Manager, Technical Business Development ASPAC – B2B Ingredients. Our ingredients business offering includes a range of dairy and plant based ingredients and related services that will continue to expand as we grow the business.
Reporting to the Head of Sales MEA & ASPAC, this role is ideally based in China. The regional portfolio includes key customers and channel partners that are China and South East Asia based with a view to further expanding to other relevant territories.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the execution of the regional market strategy to deliver on our product category business goals and objectives. In addition, collaborating closely with Marketing, Category, R&D and Insights colleagues on product strategy execution, long term collaboration opportunities and to support M&A insights and activities will be key requirements of the role.
Responsibilities
- Be the senior in-market Tirlán owner and representative for our ingredients B2B business, as well as being a cultural ambassador for the region.
- Proactively inform our S&OP integrated forecasting & planning process and aid the execution of the agreed monthly plans
- Develop and own an extensive and impactful network of external contacts and relationships, capable of driving strategic growth, collaboration and value creation across multiple sectors.
- Identify and achieve business growth objectives in line with the mid-term strategy through identifying and bringing to life new and exciting opportunities that our customers and business stakeholders want to support and succeed.
- Contribute towards the collation of market intelligence, strategic customer and market insights that help us to design our business strategy and long term goals.
- Drive opportunities that allow Tirlán to grow through partnerships, investments, and mergers & acquisitions.
- Ensure a consistent and collaborative approach across the various sales channels, ingredient categories and internal and external functions.
- Attend regional, national, and international trade events and conferences in an effort to develop new business and cement current business partnerships with customers
- Assist and advise customers of Tirlan ingredients with technical product-process support that will work best in their formulations.
- Collaborate with Tirlan R&D and Category teams to develop new ingredient product innovations while adding value to the current supply streams.
- You will be responsible to support the development & delivery of our strategic plan for the region to the highest commercial standards.
Requirements
- Native speaker of Chinese dialects & fluent in business English.
- Technical expert in Food Ingredients with proven capability in technical business development in a B2B context in the food industry with excellence in collaboration and joint value creation for sharing with customers and prospective customers.
- Minimum of 5 years senior business development experience in the region
- Batchelors degree in a business or Food science discipline
- A proven network in the China food business
- Agile, responsive , results driven.
- Strategic vision - capable of telling the business where it needs to focus for success in the region
- Evidence of excellent relationship management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across internal and external business networks to C-suite level.
- Evidence that you are results driven, self-motivated and resourceful and can manage and develop people to reach best in class professional standards.
- Evidence of operational excellence and results delivery.
