The Opportunity
The Production Processing Supervisor in our food powder manufacturing facility is responsible for leading, hiring, training, and developing production employees, to ensure employee safety and optimal performance, while creating a culture of ownership. This role requires strong business and technical leadership in safety, continuous improvement techniques, quality, performance, cost management, and people leadership. The Production Supervisor will collaborate cross-functionally to meet production demands and develop and coordinate activities, processes, and standards to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives.
- Lead, hire, train, and develop production employees to ensure safety, engagement, and optimal performance.
- Coach and mentor employees to build future leaders, foster accountability, and resolve concerns.
- Advocate for and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and professional standards throughout the facility.
- Optimize resources and manage plant operations for efficient, effective, and safe production.
- Utilize continuous improvement techniques to enhance production processes, team performance, and eliminate losses.
- Oversee daily management systems (e.g., shift hand-offs, structured meetings) to drive productivity and ownership of performance metrics.
- Manage cost objectives, ensuring adherence to budgets and cost-effective operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production demands and achieve organizational goals.
- Maintain high completion rates for quality initiatives (e.g., CAPA, NSF Preparedness, HAACP Awareness, GMPs).
- Develop, coordinate, and implement activities, processes, and standards to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives.
- Monitor and correct employee actions to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall plant and organizational success.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience with a high school diploma or GED) Previous experience gained in a similar position
- 3+ years production supervisory experience required Competence in the areas of
- Experience managing Continuous Improvement through manufacturing metrics (MES/5S/OEE/LEAN MANUFACTURING)
- Knowledge and Experience with Food Production Equipment.
- Experience in food and/or consumer products environment.
- Advanced knowledge of GMP/HACCP
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively facilitate continuous improvement and lead teams
- Ability to manage and develop team members to create ownership mentality
- Occasional flexibility to support other shifts with advanced notice
Where and how you will work
The opportunity will be based onsite in Aurora, Illinois. 1st shift is Monday-Friday 6am-2pm

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. Annual salary for Illinois - based employees for this role is $70,000- $95,000.
