What you’ll do:

 

As a Inventory Control Specialist, you will conduct daily counting, recording and tracking of materials and batch numbers utilizing hand-held RF scanners and material handling equipment (MHE) including mechanized pallet jacks, sit down forklift, stand-up forklift, cherry picker, scissor lift or other MHE.

 

Every day, you can expect to:

  • Load, unload, move, count/pick, stack and stage product and materials using a stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, regular reach truck and material handling as required.       
  • Follow safe work habits and safety rules at all times.
  • Ensure that work procedures are being followed in a consistent manner (safety, quality, GMP).
  • Conduct daily counting, recording and tracking of material (numbers and quantities) and batch numbers utilizing hand-held RF scanners. Participate in annual full physical inventory counts as required, in and out of state – travel may be required.
  • Input count results into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Verify the accuracy of materials (in bins, pallets, etc.).
  • Respond to emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work with Supervisors to ensure that raw material, packaging and finished good quantities are accurate and investigate inventory variances as they arise.
  • Generate and maintain SAP inventory related reports and documents used for material and variance reconciliation.
  • Use and properly maintain warehouse material handling equipment including a mechanized pallet jacks, sit down forklift, stand-up forklift, cherry picker, scissor lift, or other MHE as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses, hearing protection, bump caps, lab coat, hair net, beard net and safety shoes (as necessary)

 

To thrive in this role, you must:

  • Have at least 6-months Sit-Down, Reach and Stand Up Forklift Experience
  • Read and write English fluently
  • Follow written and oral instructions
  • Have strong PC skills and have the understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Have strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/spreadsheets
  • Have knowledge of mathematical concepts such as decimals and knowledge of conversion charts
  • Be able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload
  • Be flexible to work extended hours.

 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
  • SAP and/or WMS experience preferred
