At Glanbia Business Services (GBS), the Global IT and Finance Shared Services division of Glanbia, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior SAP IM/WM/LE Business Analyst to join our team, specialising in, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management and Logistics Execution modules and related integrations to third party systems (3PL etc.).

 

This is a permanent opportunity and can be based in our Kilkenny or Citywest, Dublin 24 office locations and will report to the SCM Functional Lead

 

Key deliverables of the role

  • Design, develop and deliver enhancements in the form of specific mini-projects and change requests in the SAP WM / IM and 3PL integration areas.
  • Design and build warehouse structures in SAP, utilisation put-away and receipting processes to fulfil complex business requirements.
  • Participate in an WM/IM lead role on multiple (and sometimes concurrent) implementation and continuous improvement projects, including:
  • Definition of SAP WM/IM/LE scope, based on workshops with business representatives and knowledge of existing core model.
  • Definition of SAP WM/IM blueprint and securing sign-off by relevant process representatives from the business.
  • Leading out the SAP WM and IM build activities including configuration, investigation of enhancement points and definition of technical programming specifications, design of 3PL integration points including technical design and interaction with third party providers etc.
  • Defining and supervising WM/IM/LE SAP testing cycles, and training material preparation.
  • Leading Cut-over planning and execution for the WM/IM/LE area and providing initial high-attention post-live support.
  • Hand-over of SAP WM/IM/LE design to application support team post project.
  • Technical mentoring and development of graduates and new joiners to the team where required.
  • A SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing SAP expert knowledge in the capabilities, configuration and techno-functional implementation of the Warehouse Management, Inventory Management and Logistics Execution areas, to respond to business requirements, and to contribute pro-actively to continuous improvement to Glanbia’s SAP implementations.
  • Provide assistance to the Application Support team in the resolution of complex support calls escalated by them.
  • Some travel to project locations and other GBS locations will be required as part of the role.

 

What background and experience are we looking for?
Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain or related discipline.
  • Ideally SAP Certification in relevant modules for ERP 6.0

 

Skills & experience

  • At least five years’ experience in hands-on configuration and development roles within SAP WM IM and LE modules.
  • Experience in a WM/IM lead role in at least three full-cycle implementations.
  • Strong cross-functional knowledge in Logistics Execution (including Batch Management), and Finance (including integration to PA value fields and to FI postings). Experience of working with and enhancing Cross-company and inter-company processes.
  • Experience of designing and implementing iDoc,, ALE and RFC interfaces to 3PL providers, including development of technical specifications and development / testing co-ordination with third party providers. Ideally experience working with SAP PI integration platform.
  • Experience of activating and modifying WM and IM transactions on hand-held devices via SAP console.
  • Significant demonstrable experience in debugging ABAP code and working with SAP enhancement points around user exits, custom routines, forms, and interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of techno-functional aspects – appreciation of tables, indices, user exits etc.
  • Experience with using Handling Unit Management
  • Knowledge of yard management, task & resource management and dynamic cycle counting.
