Job Title: Asst. Manager - Supply Planning – South Asia (India and Rest of South Asia)

Reporting To: South Asia Planning Lead

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning & Replenishment across Network

  • Develop and execute production plans and schedules for own manufacturing plants and co-manufacturers in line with demand plans and capacity constraints.
  • Drive replenishment planning to ensure uninterrupted supply of finished goods across the network.
  • Create and maintain RM/PM (Raw & Packaging Material) plans, ensuring alignment with production requirements and procurement lead times.
  • Monitor and improve production plan adherence and accuracy.

 

Inventory Management

  • Own Finished Goods (FG) inventory cover, ensuring optimal balance between service levels and working capital.
  • Proactively manage and minimize out-of-stock risks by identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
  • Track inventory health metrics such as days of cover, slow/obsolete inventory, and excess stock.

 

 

S&OP & Performance Management

  • Facilitate and support Supply Chain reviews as part of the S&OP cycle for own manufacturing units and co-manufacturers.
  • Provide supply-side inputs, scenarios, and constraints during S&OP discussions.
  • Ensure timely execution of agreed S&OP plans and highlight risks or deviations.

 

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Demand Planning to translate demand forecasts into executable supply plans.
  • Partner with Production / Manufacturing teams to align plans with capacity, maintenance schedules, and operational realities.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service / Logistics to support service level commitments and smooth dispatches.
  • Collaborate with Procurement for timely availability of RM/PM and risk mitigation.
  • Engage with Quality teams to ensure production and supply plans comply with quality standards and approvals.

FG inventory cover and inventory turns
Out-of-stock and service level performance
Production plan adherence and schedule accuracy
Replenishment plan accuracy
S&OP action closure and execution quality

 

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of supply planning, production planning, and inventory management
  • Hands-on experience with S&OP processes
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage complexity across multiple manufacturing locations and co-manufacturers
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Understanding of SAP ERP and proficiency in Excel

 

Qualifications & Experience

3–7 years of experience in Supply Planning / Production Planning, preferably in FMCG, Pharma, or Manufacturing environments
Experience managing co-manufacturers is a strong advantage
