The Opportunity
A vacancy has arisen for a Business Development Manager – North Africa and Levant
in Egypt, on a permanent basis.
As part of this role, Business Development Manager is responsible for building the Route to Market in North Africa and Levant region. This role will also focus on building new channels of sales in North Africa and Levant namely Specialty, Pharmacy, Gyms, etc. The candidate needs to have a sound understanding of managing Trade Spends & deliver business profitability for the region while staying focused on growth objectives.
- Deliver the Annual Topline in line with company objectives
- Deliver the growth ambition along with category share as part of Business KPIs
- Lead the Route – To – Market expansion in each market across North Africa and Levant and build new channels (Pharmacy, Gyms, etc.) as part of the Mid / Long Term Strategy to drive higher penetration
- Build and monitor the Sales and Distribution KPIs of the Distribution Partners to achieve Annual Operative Plans
- Track and Monitor ROI of spends (Activity – Cost – ROI model) on trade and customer marketing activities
- Partner closely with finance and SC team on demand forecasting to enable better serviceability in trade and drive overall operational efficiency
- Prepare and present the monthly performance as part of the MBR (Monthly Business Review) to Leadership Team
- Build a mechanism to capture & timely share Competition Information & GPN Market Share
The Skills you will bring to the team
- 7 years’+ experience in a lead sales role preferably within FMCG categories. MBA preferred.
- Experience of working in a high growth and fast-paced organization
- Persistent and resilient in the pursuit of objectives, willing to take new challenges
- Ability to work with ambiguity and in an entrepreneurial environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with retailers and distributors
- Effective influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills together with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Numbers and data savvy with experience of sales automation to monitor business performance
