The Opportunity 

Are you passionate about cheese production and looking for a leadership role on the night shift? Join our team as a Cheese Production Manager and take charge of directing and coordinating activities in our cheese production areas. You'll be responsible for processing raw materials and manufacturing customer-specific products, ensuring quality and efficiency. This permanent position will report to the Cheese Plant Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following; 

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning: Review production orders and schedules to plan department operations.
• Team Management: Directly manage non-supervisory employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance appraisals.
• Operational Coordination: Establish production priorities, coordinate manufacturing activities, and ensure product quality meets specifications.
• Problem Solving: Review reports, resolve operational issues, and inspect equipment for optimal performance.
• Compliance: Implement standard practices, ensure compliance with safety and food safety regulations, and resolve worker grievances.
• Data Management: Compile, store, and retrieve production data, utilizing GPS processes to drive zero losses.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or a minimum of five years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in computer skills including email, record keeping, and spreadsheets.
• Leadership: Ability to lead by example, share knowledge, and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Compliance: Adherence to safety policies and food safety regulations.

• Physical Demands: Regularly involves talking, listening, standing, walking, and using hands and fingers. Occasionally involves crouching, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or balancing. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
