We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Customer Business Manager - Marketplace Channel to join our growing Ecommerce team. In this role, you will be the primary owner of the strategic relationship with a key third-party seller who manages sales across multiple critical online marketplace platforms, including Walmart.com, Target.com, eBay, and TikTok Shop. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive brand presence, market share growth, and achieve revenue targets through this key seller across their managed marketplace channels.

 

Strategic Seller Partnership & Marketplace Channel Management:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans for the overall marketplace channel, focusing on growth through the primary third-party seller.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the key seller, building a strong, collaborative partnership and aligning on channel objectives and GPN brand goals.
  • Analyze overall marketplace channel performance via the seller, identify opportunities for growth across platforms (Walmart.com, Target.com, eBay, TikTok Shop, etc.), and proactively address challenges.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with the key seller to track performance against agreed KPIs and strategic initiatives.

Marketplace Sales & Marketing Enablement (via Key Seller):

  • Collaborate with the key seller to ensure effective new product launches and ongoing promotion across their managed marketplace platforms.
  • Co-develop and manage annual marketing and promotional plans with the seller for execution on each marketplace, optimizing GPN's investment (if any) and seller's budget allocation to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with GPN brand teams and the key seller to ensure alignment on marketing strategies, brand messaging, and content presentation on marketplaces
  • Oversee and guide the seller in the creation and execution of compelling digital content tailored for each marketplace, ensuring brand consistency and platform best practices.
  • Provide insights and guidance to the seller on utilizing marketplace-specific advertising tools and promotional levers (e.g., Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, eBay Promoted Listings, TikTok Shop Ads)

 

Operational Excellence & Compliance (with Key Seller):

  • Partner with the key seller and internal GPN supply chain teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and on-time delivery, adhering to the specific requirements of each marketplace.
  • Ensure the key seller maintains accurate and complete product catalog data across all their managed online platforms, reflecting GPN brand standards.
  • Work with the seller to optimize product page content and design across marketplaces to enhance the customer experience, improve search visibility, and drive conversion
  • Monitor seller compliance with GPN brand guidelines and marketplace policies

 

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Share insights and best practices related to marketplace selling, particularly managing third-party sellers and navigating platforms like Walmart.com, Target.com, eBay, and TikTok Shop, with the broader sales and marketing teams.
  • Contribute to the development of the organization's marketplace channel knowledge and capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of marketplace industry trends, emerging platforms (especially social commerce like TikTok Shop), new seller tools, policy changes, and competitive activity within these channels

 

 

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience
  • Proven ability to develop and implement frameworks to optimize e-commerce performance and specific experience working on marketplace platforms (Walmart Marketplace, Target Plus, Amazon, etc)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Working knowledge of digital media and SEO

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.  Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. The annual salary for employees for this role is $100,000 - $145,000 plus an annual bonus. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
