The Opportunity
This role has sole ownership of for all day-to-day Supply Chain & customer fulfilment with responsibilities including, but not limited to logistics, allocation management, compliance & demand management across total CE retailers. This role requires a strong external, customer facing skill set and finessed internal collaboration with commercial & supply teams.
Job Responsibilities
The Customer Collaboration Controller will develop an ecosystem to lead all tasks related to the effective & seamless delivery of volumes into customers & delivers key Improvement projects.
- Manage the Supply Chain outputs from the demand plan to customer delivery.
- Partner externally with customers to improve GPN Fit to Win profile as measured by suppliers.
- Work closely with MFT to manage in month demand fluctuations closely with Commercial, Customer, Planning & Finance
- Drive problem solving & innovative solutions when there is stress or failure within the Supply Chain
- Partner closely with the CELT to manage customer performance and collaborate externally where retailer opportunities exist.
- Lead the Glanbia value ‘Find a better way’ for some of the existing processes between supply chain & commercial which are manual and lead to unclear communication and lack of clarity.
Principle Accountabilities
- Work with the sales team to manage the sell out plans & understand where there are risks to fulfilment & problem solve with Planning & Logistics; accordingly, review all agreements and cascade to product Supply on any elements of concern e.g. lead time, fines, measures etc. This will also include sku range, terms and pricing.
- Act as the owner jointly with Customer Services to agree customer tiering and rules within
- Collaborate externally with retailer supply teams to drive an improved, and then sustained, best in class service level. Represent the business as leader at key customer facing meetings on all issues.
- Act as the primary liaison for top-tier Customers across the Central Europe region, coordinating seamlessly between commercial and supply chain teams to ensure service excellence and strategic alignment.
- Be the Product Change champion for all activity including delists as well as launches, working closely with Innovation to ensure seamless supply for new product launches, reducing SLOBS and improving phase in externally.
- Support sales and supply chain teams with customer facing tasks e.g. inventory management & support related value adding opportunities. Partner with the Logistics function to identify and implement cost to serve opportunities.
- Be the lead point of contact for escalation from Product Supply for issues and projects e.g. COSA rollout.
- Continuous improvement in order management process to make GPN be easier to do business with e.g. EDI, portals, standardised ordering
Key Challenges & Success Measures
- This is a supply chain role with close collaboration and cross over to commercial - A key position between both functions.
- This is a senior level external role so strong commercial acumen, business awareness & business knowledge is crucial.
- This position will need to deal with a changeable environment and often levels of ambiguity, a systemic, agile temperament and can-do attitude is key.
- Ability to navigate across a broad geography and multiple GTM’s solutions – maintaining complex stakeholder management and at times competing priorities.
- Delivery productivity initiatives across Supply Chain and Commercial – Influencing internal and external stakeholders on transformation and optimisation – Unlock the savings, cost avoidance, productivity or cashflow.
Skills, Know How and experience
- High standards and energy to drive issues to closure with high accountability.
- Ability to analyse and distil complex data sets into insight, with skills to assimilate new information into scenarios.
- Ability to prioritise workload and balance between urgent and important issues.
- Ability to clearly communicate in both verbal & written forms to both supply team and commercial teams.
- Passion for problem solving and leading solutions for both ongoing opportunities and in times of crisis.
