Job Summary
The E-commerce Manager – Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) is accountable for the commercial performance, strategic development and sustainable growth of Glanbia Performance Nutrition's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business in South Korea.
Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, South Korea, this role serves as the commercial owner of the Korea DTC business, leading business planning, commercial strategy, digital commerce and business performance to deliver sustainable growth, maximize commercial value and strengthen consumer engagement.
Working closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Regional/Global teams, the role identifies new growth opportunities, drives execution excellence and builds the commercial capabilities required to accelerate the long-term growth of the Korea DTC business.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Planning & Growth
Own the commercial performance and long-term growth of the Korea DTC business through disciplined business planning and commercial leadership.
- Own the commercial performance of the Korea DTC business, delivering sustainable revenue growth, profitability and key business KPIs.
- Lead Annual Business Planning (ABP), forecasting and long-term business planning aligned with commercial objectives.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews, providing strategic recommendations to improve business performance.
- Identify market, consumer and commercial opportunities, translating insights into actionable growth strategies.
- Develop business cases and recommend strategic investments that strengthen long-term business performance.
- Prioritise business initiatives and resources to maximise business outcomes.
- Commercial Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute commercial strategies that maximize business performance and consumer value.
- Develop and execute portfolio, pricing, promotional, merchandising and commercial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the annual commercial calendar, ensuring excellence in execution across all commercial initiatives.
- Lead the optimization of digital merchandising and the online consumer experience to maximize commercial performance, conversion and consumer value.
- Drive continuous improvement of commercial execution through consumer insights, market intelligence and business analytics.
- Identify and develop new category and digital commerce opportunities that support sustainable business growth.
- Consumer Growth & Digital Experience
Accelerate sustainable consumer growth through insight-led strategies and continuous optimization.
- Develop and execute consumer growth strategies across the entire customer lifecycle.
- Lead CRM, loyalty and consumer engagement initiatives that strengthen long-term consumer relationships.
- Continuously optimize the end-to-end consumer journey to improve conversion, retention and customer lifetime value.
- Translate consumer insights and business analytics into scalable commercial initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with Marketing to maximize the commercial impact of digital marketing investment and consumer acquisition.
- Business Performance & Cross-functional Leadership
Drive execution excellence through performance management, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Monitor commercial and operational performance through KPI management and regular business reviews.
- Analyze sales, consumer and digital commerce performance to identify opportunities and recommend improvement actions.
- Improve forecasting accuracy and provide data-driven recommendations that support commercial decision-making.
- Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Regional/Global teams to accelerate business performance.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead strategic initiatives within a matrix organization.
- Manage external agencies and strategic partners to ensure best-in-class execution and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in E-commerce, Digital Commerce, Commercial or Omnichannel roles.
- Proven experience leading and growing a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) or Online Retail business.
- Strong experience in Annual Business Planning (ABP), commercial planning, forecasting and business performance management.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing commercial strategies that deliver sustainable business growth.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance business growth, profitability and consumer experience.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate consumer, commercial and financial insights into business decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment within a matrix organisation.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Professional proficiency in both Korean and English.
Preferred
- Experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Sports Nutrition, Health & Wellness or Consumer Healthcare industries.
- Experience working within a regional or global organisation.
- Experience leading new business launches, business expansion or digital commerce transformation initiatives.
- Experience with Shopify or other enterprise e-commerce platforms.
- Experience managing external agencies and strategic business partners.
