Digital Strategy & Transformation Lead
An opportunity has arisen for a Digital Strategy and Transformation Lead in Glanbia Enterprise Solutions Services (GES). This is a permanent opportunity and will report to the VP Digital Transformation
The Digital Strategy and Transformation Lead collaborates with Senior Business and IT stakeholders to define and execute the digital transformation vision, in alignment with key business objectives and the wider organisation strategy. They are a senior IT Leader and oversees innovation enablement across the organisation, fostering a culture of technology-driven innovation and identifying emerging technologies that can drive competitive advantage.
Key Elements of the role:
- Works alongside all Technology Value Stream leads to shape and prioritise the overall Enterprise digital transformation vision and roadmap aligned with Corporate strategic goals
- Acts as a key advisor to senior Business and IT stakeholders on digital strategy and innovation-related topics understanding complex business, consumer, and customer challenges and exploring innovative solutions alongside Business and Technology Value Stream leads.
- Collaborates with senior IT stakeholders to identify transformation initiatives that cut across functions
- Partners with the Head of Portfolio & Programme Management and the Finance Digital Transformation Lead to monitor execution of the Digital Transformation roadmap in alignment with the overall strategy establishing clear metrics and KPIs to monitor success of the initiatives and develop response plans for course-correction (as required).
- Develops presentation and comms materials on the overall programme and its impact for Executive sessions, Board materials and the investor community connecting with the broader Corporate transformation team.
- Works with Enterprise Architecture to curate the innovation agenda within IT, partnering with business and IT leaders to explore the adoption of new and emerging technologies for Glanbia.
- Spearheads opportunities to form relationships with innovative technology vendors and start-ups to pilot, and scale new capabilities within the IT organisation.
- Advocates for human-centred design, applying customer, consumer, and colleague perspectives to how we solve our business challenges through technology.
- Owns the digital upskilling agenda incubating the Digital Academy, working with relevant Business stakeholders to identify functional-specific and cross-functional needs and learning pathways to drive effective change.
- Assist in defining cross-value stream strategies around new or evolving digital developments (e.g., AI strategy and governance).
- Identifies and champions opportunities to augment existing IT processes and ways of working that can deliver greater productivity, efficiency, or other benefits aligned with business objectives
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Digital Innovation, Business, Innovation Management, Information Technology), or equivalent experience
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Design Thinking, Innovation Management) are highly desirable
- Strategy consulting experience desirable
- 8+ years of experience in establishing and overseeing muti-year digital strategies focussed on transformation and business growth
- Consulting experience and toolkit highly desirable
- Demonstrable experience in leading innovation programmes and incubating innovation capabilities, driving experimentation and scaling emerging technologies (e.g., AI, ML).
- Deep experience of establishing strategic partnerships with industry-leading, third-party suppliers to support innovative knowledge transfer and capability build.
- Adept at conveying complex technology ideas to C-Suite level Business executives.
- Very strong communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders to align on competing priorities
