Financial Controller (12 month FTC)
This role will be responsible for the integrity of the GN financial processes and financial information for Premix EMEA. The EMEA Financial Controller leads the Glanbia Nutritionals financial operations in Orsingen, Germany, and South Africa. This will include the management of the month-end close cycle. Emphasis is on providing timely, relevant and accurate information in a dynamic environment, where accurate information is a key competitive advantage and essential in supporting operational and strategic decision-making. This is a 12 month FTC position and the role reports to Reports to the Director of Finance NS International & Integrations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Lead the month end close process for Premix EMEA with associated reporting and controls
- Lead the entity consolidation of monthly actual results and feed into the monthly reporting process led by the GN consolidation team
- Lead the planning cycle including Forecast 1, Forecast 2 and the budget cycles
- Ensure that the required accounting control procedures are in place and are effective. This includes the control and reconciliation of the Balance Sheet in line with Glanbia policy
- Cash Flow Forecasting & Working Capital Management: Lead the cash flow forecasting needs as required by Group and support the Finance Commercial and Operations teams ensuring the efficient and effective management of working capital
- Support the Internal and external audits ensuring compliance with Glanbia accounting policies, including internal controls
- Compliance/Risk Management: Liaise with Group Finance functions to ensure compliance and alignment with Group policies and expectations around risk management.
- Assist with tax and regulatory compliance
- Support financial process and systems improvement activity ensuring all financial planning and reporting process are optimized and aligned with overall GN reporting structures
- Management and coaching of direct reports
Qualification Requirements
- Professional Accounting qualification
- Ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years finance experience gained in a variety of finance environments including significant financial planning and analysis experience in a CPG/FMCG environment
- IFRS knowledge is essential
Experience Requirements
- Strong financial acumen including strong technical accounting skills. Must possess a broad business perspective and have a ‘hands-on’ and in-depth understanding of the GN financials
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a cross functional matrix organization
- Hands on experience of using and operating SAP systems (preferably with knowledge of BCS) and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

- Business analysis and modeling – Proven track record in using knowledge of finance analysis and modeling to provide realistic and relevant reports to support the business decision making process
- Risk identification – Can accurately identify and mitigate key commercial and business risks
- IT skills – Can leverages IT technologies and systems to drive and improve business performance
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Excellent skills in Microsoft packages
