The Opportunity
This position is part of the Glanbia Nutritionals Operations Finance team for the Dairy division, based in the Gooding manufacturing plant office. Our team is responsible for operational performance reporting, cost reporting, and planning and analysis for manufacturing plants in Idaho. This role offers regular opportunities to collaborate with multiple departments within the Gooding facility and across other manufacturing sites across the US.
Essential Functions
- Maintain and calculate transfer prices to ensure accurate cost allocation across departments, upload whey prices in SAP to keep financial data up-to-date and prepare and analyze operations efficiency models to identify areas for improvement. Ensure accuracy in all financial calculations and data entries to support reliable decision-making.
- Maintain quarterly milk haul revenue recovery to ensure accurate financial tracking, identify key drivers impacting revenue, and articulate findings to management to support strategic decision-making. Ensure accuracy in all financial calculations and data entries to uphold reliable and precise reporting.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cost analysis for various areas, maintenance, lab/quality, transportation, ingredients and packaging, as assigned.
- Monitors and maintains key performance indicators for the Transportation department, tracking trends and providing detailed insights.
- Responsible for managing the monthly close process for our transportation division, including journal preparation, reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts (fuel, parts), analyzing data to ensure accuracy, and thorough review of P&L inclusive of articulating key drivers and root cause on performance variances.
- Develops the annual business plan, forecasts, and outlooks for the transportation division, collaborating closely with transportation and logistics leaders to establish annual KPIs and targets. Prepares budget and forecast causal analysis and reports, delivering clear insights to management.
- Assists with plant inventory control for raw material, ingredients, packaging and finished goods, as assigned.
- Assist with standardization of reporting and analysis across manufacturing locations.
- Prepare regular Capex project cost and status report for Idaho sites, facilitates closure of projects in a timely manner.
- Review work and test for reasonableness; identify questionable results and investigate root cause.
- Support analysis of data as well as development/refinement of financial models related to continuous improvement initiatives and internal growth.
- Cross-train with other analysts, collaborate and share learnings across the team.
- Perform ad hoc reporting, analysis and trending as required
- Participates in special projects or action teams.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years related experience. CPA, CMA or equivalent experience required.
- Track record of achievement in driving performance and change

- Driven, energetic results oriented individual with the ability to thrive under pressurized conditions
- Occasional overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
