Production Team Leader

The Production Team Leader is responsible for leading daily production operations by coaching and developing hourly employees, ensuring a zero-loss safety culture, meeting quality standards, and driving continuous improvement. The Cheese Production Team Leader will manage shift performance, output, and adherence to production goals.

Essential Functions

• Oversee daily production to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.
• Enforce safety programs and regulatory compliance (GMP, FDA, USDA).
• Drive zero‑loss culture using GPS tools.
• Ensure product quality and food safety (HAACP, SQF, SOP, GMPs).
• Schedule shifts and coordinate employee assignments.
• Conduct SOP audits and perform inventory checks/sampling.
• Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and shipping.
• Coach and develop hourly employees; build troubleshooting capability.
• Partner with maintenance on preventive and emergency maintenance decisions.
• Maintain production schedule and complete standard work tasks.
• Monitor equipment centerlines and reporting.
• Report shift performance in daily reviews and meetings.
• Deliver performance feedback, PDPs, and manage attendance/discipline.
• Hold employee meetings and support employee relations.

What You Will Bring To the Team

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• At least 3 years of related experience
• Ability to read instructions, write reports, and communicate effectively.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership and adherence to safety policies.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Must complete Glanbia’s Team Lead certification program.

Where and How You Will Work

The opportunity will be based onsite in Gooding, Idaho, with shift hours of 6pm – 6am.
