Glanbia plc is seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst, who will work as part of the Group FP&A team to deliver month end reporting and periodic forecasts to senior management and the Board. The role responsibilities also includes supporting the group strategic planning process, Corporate Departmental budgeting/forecasting and Group working capital management. This is a permanent opportunity and will report to the Head of Group FP&A. The role will be based at the company’s head office in Kilkenny.
Responsibilities
- Review and preparation of group consolidated month end and periodic forecast Board reports to include P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet analysis vs. budget, forecast and prior year with relevant commentary and key messaging
- Preparation and review of Corporate departmental budgets and forecasts, including liaising with senior managers to agree underlying assumptions.
- Support month end review and analysis of business unit and group functions performance vs. budget/forecast/prior year to identify any key trends
- Review and preparation of group consolidated working capital reports for senior management, including monthly trends/rolling MAT’s and ownership of follow up with any key actions arising
- Assist with the Group financial strategy and planning process to include review and assessment of financial/non-financial KPI’s and to challenge business units on projected performance compared to Group targets
- Other ad-hoc work as required including supporting various group wide projects sponsored by senior management

The Skills you will bring to the team
- Results driven individual with a minimum of 3-5 years post qualification accounting and commercial experience ideally gained in a multi-national environment.
- Recognised Professional Accounting Qualification required
- Financial/business modelling experience in a complex business environment including integrated consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information, combined with a strategic mind.
- Strong written communication and reporting ability with ability to communicate to stakeholders across various levels and functions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and present to senior management.
- Self-motivated, proactive, ability to ensure tasks are finalised to strict deadlines.
- Strong hands-on SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud would be an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong Word, PowerPoint skills are essential.
- An ability to work on their own initiative, to deadlines, within a team environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a global business environment
