Assistant Team Lead Production

Position Summary:

The operations assistant team lead is a person who is responsible for managing a company’s human and mechanical resources. They strive to improve organizational effectiveness by showing exemplary leadership and maintaining the organization’s financial activities. The operations team leader makes tangible contributions to the advancement of organizational goals and practices by developing work schedules and ensuring that members of staff adhere to it for successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in various departments as needed.
• Help set up various machines.
• Assist in locating material needed to run machine effectively.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow facility safety regulations.
• Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.
• Special projects as business dictate
• Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have aptitude for machines which will be in a manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to work as a part of a team and independently.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base profile (below) for this position.
• Must meet the company quality and performance standards for the job as specified.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned PPE and shoes approved for this job as specified in Contact and Safety Requirements

Work Environment

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and move around for extended periods.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Physical Strength: Exerts up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Movement: Occasional climbing, stooping (bending body forward and down), crouching (bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine), reaching (extending arms and hands in any direction), and handling (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands).
