Job Summary:

 

The Sales Support Executive – plays a key role in supporting the commercial team to execute sales strategies, deliver outstanding customer service, and drive growth across all channels in Oceania, with a major focus on the grocery and convenience sector.

This role is responsible for coordinating internal processes, managing customer data, sales reporting, performing financial administrative tasks and enabling the sales team to operate efficiently and effectively.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Sales Administration & Support

  • Manage day-to-day administrative support for the Commercial team.
  • Validate and process claims, invoices and provide financial analysis support.
  • Assist in preparing sales presentations, customer proposals, and new line documentation.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, pricing, product codes, and promotional data.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes with retailers across Oceania.
  • Outbound Sales Outreach, make proactive outbound calls to smaller/regional retailers and cover annual leave of field team.
  • Qualify leads, follow up on new account inquiries and convert prospects into new accounts.

 

 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Compile weekly and monthly sales reports, market share analysis (scan data).
  • Monitor promotional performance and provide actionable insights to the commercial team.
  • Conduct monthly Discount & Allowance (D&A) reviews, and report to the commercial team.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning by analysing historical data, trends, and customer plans.
  • CRM Maintenance, ad hoc reporting, survey activation and review

 

 

Promotional & Trade Execution

  • Coordinate the execution of promotional plans, pricing changes, and new product launches in collaboration with trade marketing, field teams and supply chain.
  • Assist with preparation and attendance at trade shows and expos.
  • Maintain a national pricing monitor, including competitor reporting.

 

 

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a point of contact for customer enquiries, product information, and order support.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain to track orders, manage stock allocations, and anticipate issues.
  • Support field sales teams with POS requests, product samples, and activation materials.

  • Management of claims and accurate reporting of trade investment.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Experience in sales support, account coordination, or administrative roles (FMCG preferred).
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High proficiency in Excel, powerpoint and experience with CRM or ERP systems.
  • Experience working with SAP or a related financial management system.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships internally and externally.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive and collaborative team player
  • Fluent in English

 

 

Education/Experience:

  • Degree qualification or near completion.
  • Prior experience in FMCG sales, marketing or a sales support role.
  • Strong understanding of the retail or convenience sector in Australia.
  • Prior use of scan data software for analytical reporting  

 

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of customer data systems such as IRI, Quantium, or customer portals.
  • Exposure to wellness, sports nutrition, or health food categories
