We are hiring a Maintenance Superintendent in Mooresville, IN at PacMoore, a Glanbia company. You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery at the PacMoore plant.
Responsibilities include:
- Report to the Maintenance Manager, and manages a 24-7 shift system, you will be responsible for providing electrical/mechanical and process maintenance support for a 24/7 food manufacturing industrial facility.
- Comply with work scheduling and attendance requirements according to policy and practices.
- Coordinate, plan, and supervise day to day operations all phases of planned and breakdown maintenance.
- Establish project priorities assign and schedule work effectively to meet production needs.
- Document departmental activity through SAP to include maintenance parts and work orders.
- Assist procurement in providing an efficient maintenance parts replacement program.
- Identify and assemble internal and external resources where needed.
- Assist in the training of all new team members.
- Establish team roles and expectations, develop positive work environment and resolve team conflicts.
- Monitor and manage work breakdown structure, work quality, schedule critical path, safety compliance and budget.
- Maintain proper maintenance records and documents.
- Implement maintenance objectives and success criteria as directed by senior personnel.
- Schedule and hold team meetings to review progress, resolve issues and clarify expectations.
- Assist in training of operations personnel in the various plant design operational needs. Participate in effective commissioning and turnover of plant on new projects.
- Manage Plant Maintenance Mechanics and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these individuals.
- Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of Glanbia non-negotiables.
Skills & Training needed:
- Associates degree in an engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of building/facilities/maintenance experience.
- An understanding of TPM and similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance).

- Should be able to identify and distinguish colors, see clearly at 20 inches or closer and 20 feet or more, observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point, judge distances and spatial relationships, and adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
Typical Environmental Conditions
- May be exposed to loud noise levels (i.e. manufacturing equipment).
- May be exposed to humidity, intense heat, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
- May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
