The Opportunity
The position of the Senior National Account Manager is to ensure Petrol & Convenience, Grocery and Beverage Distribution partners perform against long term strategic plans and objectives of the company.
The role has a strong new business development focus, requiring establishing & business development of new channels to achieve sales and market share targets. There is requirement of new business acquisition, promotional program implementation, forecasting & strategy planning, including the management of a channel specific P&L.
Key Accountabilities
- Ownership of 1-3 year Petrol & Convenience, Grocery and Distributor channel strategy.
- Establish & manage channel opportunities & distribution partnerships
- Develop robust business proposals, customer new line submissions and negotiate contracts with a view to developing long term relationships.
- Negotiate commercial agreements within the approved internal financial & brand frameworks.
- Foster strong, positive, and constructive relationships cross-functionally throughout the business.
- Channel forecasting and implementation of account specific promotional activities, in store distribution and merchandising.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Commerce
- 5 - 8 years proven work experience as a National Account Manager with experience across similar channels (Grocery, Petrol & Convenience)
- Experience in establishing, managing and building new channels
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of trade marketing, distribution, sales channels
- Experience working within a matrix organisation with a multi-tiered customer channel approach to sales
