The Opportunity 

 

Join our dynamic team as a Quality Supplier Supervisor and play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety for our company. Reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager, you will be instrumental in executing supplier and raw material onboarding and qualification processes. Duties include but are not limited to the following;

 

  • Implement HACCP Principles: Apply these principles to identify and mitigate food safety hazards.
  • Quality SOP Management: Manage and update all quality-related SOPs.
  • Supervise Quality Specialists: Develop the technical expertise of Supplier Quality Specialists.
  • Collaborate with R&D: Work with R&D Technical Services to create and update specifications.
  • Quality Control Liaison: Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk management activities and write supply chain preventive control plans.
  • Quality Systems Assessment: Assess Quality Systems for continuous improvement and oversee the implementation of improvement activities.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Conduct analysis investigations, resolve quality issues diplomatically, and perform onboarding qualification evaluations. This includes reviewing and communicating the impact on Supplier Quality activities during new business initiatives and projects.

 

 

  The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, etc.).
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years in the food industry, particularly with health/supplement/nutritional food.
  • SOP Expertise: Experience with Standards of Procedure (development, writing, implementation, and education).
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, databases, and programming.
  • Specialized Training: Training in PCQI & HACCP, and knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with cGMPs, HACCP, HARPC, and 21CFR 117 and 111 regulatory requirements.
  • Certifications: Knowledge or certification in ISO 22000, NSF, or other certifying bodies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, decision-making, data management, problem-solving, planning, organizing, and teamwork skills.
