The Customer Team Analytics Manager is a high-impact, manager level, position responsible for leading Walmart and Sam’s retailer data strategy, insights and analytics. This role touches all aspects of the business with exposure both externally presenting with Walmart and Sam’s and internally, as the retailer data and insights expert. The ideal candidate has a growth mindset paired with strong critical thinking (ability to active-listen to stakeholders, recognize an opportunity/challenge, develop a hypothesis and influence with a data-based recommendation). 

 

  • Lead data analytics strategy leveraging Scintilla and Nielsen to drive higher return decisions resulting in sales/margin growth for our Walmart, Sam’s & Glanbia
  • Leverages multiples sources of data to lead sophisticated analyses required to support business decisions
  • Lead and orchestrate best-in-class return of Walmart/Sam’s data investment (Scintilla, Retail Link, Madrid) and syndicated market data tools (Nielsen)
  • Upskill Sales Team and Cat Man on insights and analytics across retailer POS (Scintilla/Madrid), being the expert on latest retailer data capability and in-touch with market/competition
  • Establish and adhere to weekly/monthly business reporting w. actionable insights for senior leadership, both internally facing and externally across the customer base
  • Build and present compelling, data-based selling stories (with retailer and syndicated data) for priority initiatives, joint-business meetings and line-reviews, credentialing GPN with retailers
  • Be the proactive pulse of the category and competition
  • Lead root cause analyses with critical thinking and sense of urgency on hot business challenges/questions
  • Lead ROI analyses with recommendations to the sales team and internal partners; leverage TPM tool, retailer and market data to make recommendations on which investments are driving strong returns vs. where we need to optimize

 

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 7 or more years of analytics experience
  • Walmart and/or Sam’s Club Customer Team Experience (with the ability to demonstrate deep understanding of the Walmart business)
  • Scintilla/Item 360 Proficiency
  • Reporting (Scintilla, Panel Data, Nielsen, Dashboards, etc.)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Digital/Omni Skills (understanding role and analytics of econtent, digital media, etc.)
