Overview
The End User Technologies team is the company’s most senior End User Technologies advisory group. The EUT Team is accountable for the Global strategic development of the End User Technology environment, the definition and implementation of standards/policies and the management of some key global services to end user devices (7k laptops/desktops - 97% Windows, 3% Apple MAC + 3k mobile devices, Apple iPhone and iPads)
The Senior End User Technologies Engineer will work with the EUT Team contributing to the shared team goals and requirements as outlined below.
Key elements of the role
- Business as usual daily tasks (50% of time):
- maintain the key services at the expected operational excellence level as per KPI agreed. This includes Device Platform standard for Windows/Apple MAC/Apple IOS with Intune/Azure AD (currently transitioning from SCCM+Active Directory) and, Jamf (managed by a vendor), OneDrive for business, Windows 365. We are currently transitioning to Modern Management from SCCM+Active Directory so currently supporting both environment.
- Vendor management (Microsoft Premier Support + other vendors providing services).
- Reactive Support Level 3 (15% of time): Support our Global Service Desk for escalations related to EUT services only, complete high level professional documentation as required.
- Proactive Support Level 3 (15% of time): deliver formal technical training, mentoring, and coaching to Service Desk/Global IT Operations on EUT services.
- Project Tasks (20% of time):
- deploying innovative solutions, improve existing ones, define new standards.
- Business integrations of new companies into our Standards.
We are currently moving our entire Windows fleet to Intune (Azure AD Joined) with Windows Autopilot. Most of the immediate project work will be on this topic, to improve governance, reports, etc.
Requirements for the position
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or similar related
Skills & experience
- Five plus years related experience in a similar role.
Technical - Required:
- Device Management with Intune and Azure AD (Entra ID) (Patch management, SW Distribution, OS Deployment, Compliance, Configuration, custom queries/reports), Scripting (PowerShell), Supporting/troubleshooting a Windows client platform in an enterprise environment.
Technical - Nice to have:
- Active Directory Group Policies and basic knowledge, SCCM basic knowledge,
- Ability to work alone as an individual contributor and as a participant in a team environment.
- Can take technical lead for some of the EUT services as required.
- Proven/Excellent real-world problem solving skills.
- Proven/Excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience working within ITIL compliant environments.

This is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.
