A vacancy has arisen for a Transportation Logistics Administrator IIThis is a permanent position and will report to the Senior Logistics Manager 

The Health & Nutrition Logistics Administrator II is a critical operational and analytical role responsible for managing all inbound and outbound freight activity across multiple U.S. sites (Linden, NJ; Sharonville, OH; and Valencia, CA). This position ensures on‑time delivery performance, budget adherence, and data integrity while supporting cost‑recovery and savings initiatives that impact the bottom line.

The role serves as a key problem‑solver within logistics operations, coordinating domestic and international shipments through TMS and SAP systems, maintaining accurate freight documentation, and ensuring full compliance with DOT and U.S. export regulations. In partnership with the Senior Logistics Manager, the Logistics Administrator II supports carrier and 3PL relationships, resolves freight discrepancies and claims, and contributes to routing strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Responsibilities  

 

  • Freight & Shipment Management: Oversee all outbound customer orders and 3PL inbound shipments. Coordinate tracking, tracing, and tender acceptance to ensure 95%+ On-Time Delivery (OTD) and On-Time Pickup (OTP).
  • Systems Administration (TMS/SAP): Maintain logistics master data with high accuracy. Manage the flow of TMS transactions and ensure SAP ERP data integrity via API links. Some Manual shipment creation may be required.
  • Financial & Audit Oversight: Manage TMS DTO (Freight Pay & Audit) processing. Provide monthly freight reconciliations to Finance/Accounting to establish landed cost activities.
  • Compliance & Claims: Prepare and audit critical export documents and HTS classifications with a zero-error target. Resolve 3PL cargo claims within a 30-day cycle and manage carrier payment discrepancies.
  • Team Support & Development: Develop and maintain departmental training manuals. Serve as a backup for the transportation planning function and stay current on DOT and U.S. Export regulations.
  • Performance and TMS Management: Maintain 90% + SRG Strategic Routing Guide Adherence on FTL and develop a streamlines approach to LCP Methodology on LTL Shipments.
  • Rate and Carrier Development: Responsible under the Senior Logistics Manager to help develop monthly new FTL SRG guides and carriers to support the roots to market structure.
  • All other Tasks Assigned: Willing to be flexible and take on new tasks and assignments should the need arise. 

 

The Skills you will bring to the team 

 

 

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 5–7+ years of transportation or logistics planning experience, with direct responsibility for managing $5M+ in freight spend
  • Strong background in LTL transportation management, including NMFC reporting and rate negotiations
  • Hands‑on experience coordinating domestic and international freight
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations, U.S. export requirements, and HTS classifications
  • Experience supporting carrier performance management, claims resolution, and freight pay/audit processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP systems and TMS platforms (Transplace preferred)
  • Ability to manage logistics master data, troubleshoot data integrity issues, and support API‑driven system integrations
  • Strong analytical skills to support freight reconciliation, landed cost analysis, and recovery models
