The Opportunity
A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst - Operations. This is a permanent position and will report to the Finance Manager.
The Sr Financial Analyst serves as a key finance business partner to manufacturing operations, supporting multiple flavors plants (Sharonville, Montreal, Bremen, Valencia, Linden). This role is responsible for product costing, inventory management, manufacturing KPIs, and cost of manufacture analysis, while supporting monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and SAP integration efforts.
The analyst owns standard costing and new material commercialization, leads overhead and absorption analysis, and plays a critical role in inventory control and obsolete inventory management across sites. They translate complex manufacturing and financial data into actionable insights for operations, supply chain, quality, R&D, and plant leadership.
In addition to strong technical finance expertise, this role requires hands-on plant partnership, cross‑functional influence, and people leadership, including managing and developing direct reports. Success is defined by improved cost transparency, stronger inventory controls, consistent KPI reporting, and effective support of operational decision‑making in a multi-site manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform all aspects of product costing, including responsibility for the technical and financial knowledge of the Product Costing. This includes new raw material commercialization, preparing the standard costs of all new materials for bulk/finished goods commercialization, quarterly update of all standard costs for existing materials.
- Lead overhead analysis by material to include cost of manufacture changes and validation of operational times for each routing group and its impact on the overall absorption rates.
- Support the obsolete inventory process across sites, including preparing the reports, setting up and running of the bi weekly meetings, as well as following up on open action items.
- Support inventory management and control functions. Identify and resolve inventory-related issues by analyzing data, defining problems, and providing valid conclusions.
- Prepare, coordinate, and report monthly Operations KPI. Measure the performance against the targets and provide detailed commentary on the variances.
- Support monthly financial operations close and reporting cycle, manufacturing labor and overhead variances, and production reports including overhead analysis.
- Support operational financial and accounting aspects including financial planning of annual budget and quarterly forecast for flavors plants. Coordinate with the operations team members to determine direct and indirect headcount requirements and non-labor overhead costs.
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the production, quality, R&D, supply chain and other support departments by providing analytical support and data in a timely manner. Participate in operational decision making.
- Support the integration of other flavors plants to SAP and company reporting requirements.

The Skills you will bring to the team
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Prior experience supporting plant operations, inventory, and production costing is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Skilled in presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, customers, and public audiences.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and delegating assignments effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to define problems, gather and evaluate data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Demonstrates leadership through knowledge sharing and leading by example.
