The Opportunity

The Supply Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing robust supply plans that ensure the availability of finished goods across the UK and EU network while optimising inventory levels and minimising SLOB-related risks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term supply plans
  • Manage purchase order creation for products sourced from co-manufacturers and co-packers
  • Ensure inventory levels remain aligned to customer requirements, and working capital objectives.
  • Monitor and manage stock health, identifying risks of excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory
  • Manage inter-3PL stock transfers to optimise inventory availability across the network.
  • Maintain planning master data including planning parameters (MOQ/batch settings)
  • Investigate supply exceptions and stock shortages, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Review forecast updates and assess implications for supply plans.
  • Engage proactively with suppliers to understand risks, constraints, and opportunities.
  • Issue rolling forecasts to co-manufacturing partners.

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience within Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent data interpretation and reporting skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Experience working within ERP/MRP environments.
  • Ability to influence decisions across multiple functions.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable

  • Experience within FMCG, Consumer Goods, Food, Beverage, or Nutrition industries.
  • SAP experience.
  • JDA / Blue Yonder planning experience.
  • Experience supporting system implementations or process transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of inventory optimisation and forecasting principles.
  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot, AI tools, Power BI, SAC, or similar technologies to automate processes, generate insights, and support supply planning decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify digitalisation and automation opportunities that improve planning effectiveness and efficiency
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant planning or supply chain experience

  • Reports to Supply & Demand Planning Manager, EU
  • Travel as and when required
  • Based in Middlesbrough, UK
