JOB SUMMARY

 

Inspects for and promotes cGMP and SOP compliance in production and the warehouse.  Reviews documents for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00/ hr

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities:

 

  • Inspects production facility and personnel for cGMP and SOP compliance.  Inspects work area for cleanliness, organization, possible cross-contamination issues, dress code, proper equipment and utensil use, storage, etc.  Notifies the appropriate personnel of non-compliance and follows up on corrections.
  • Inspects warehouse facility and personnel for cGMP and SOP compliance.  Notifies the appropriate personnel of non-compliance and follows up on corrections. 
  • Inspects documentation for completion, accuracy, and compliance with SOP’s.  These include manufacturing logbooks, batch sheets, weighing printouts, labels, and similar documents.
  • May assist in investigations of quality issues.
  • Maintains a QA log book in the Orange facility for all daily notes and occurrences.
  • Inspects and releases equipment for cleanliness before the manufacturing of products.
  • Assists in employee training, including cGMPs, SOP’s, HACCP, personal hygiene, and dress code.
  • Must be able to work in an allergen environment, including milk, eggs, shellfish, wheat, soy, and tree nuts.
  • Completes additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education, Training:      

 

  • Minimum: High School Diploma, GED, or Technical School Diploma.
  • First shift: 0-2 years of inspection experience in a production facility.
  • All other shifts: 1-3 years of inspection experience in a production facility. 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:       

 

  • General Knowledge of the food manufacturing process.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees in a productive manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of cGMP regulations.
  • Must be able to complete forms and write legibly.
  • Ability to multitask and bring tasks to completion.
  • Must be computer literate and able to learn how to use the company’s computer system.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must be able to perform general math, including percentages.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving abilities.

 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITY

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

 

  • Lab coats/uniforms when on the production floor.
  • Safety Glasses when on the production floor.
  • Gloves as required.
  • “Dust” masks as needed/required.
  • Any other PPE as required/recommended.

 

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimal travel required.
