One of our core ambitions is to drive marketing excellence to propel our brands to growth, securing delivery of growth objectives, as we accelerate our business in Japan’s $1 Billion USD Sports Nutrition market. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for helping build and execute marketing strategies for the assigned brands, including execution of marketing communications, influencer recruitment and engagement, owned and paid media strategies, sampling activations, events partnerships, new launches and trade/ ecommerce marketing.
Additionally, the Marketing Executive will play a vital role in managing the brand and ensuring it shows up in authentic ways, reflecting target users attitudes, beliefs and staying on trend and relevant through staying close to consumers.
Principal Accountabilities :
• Execute the marketing strategies of the assigned brands (primarily Optimum Nutrition) for the Japan market.
• Work with the Agency to source and manage a list of locally relevant influencers and brand ambassadors and engage with them regularly for content creation and product placement.
• Oversee the social media platforms, adapting and creating locally-relevant content with strong story-telling that builds our premium image.
• Deeply understand our products, their strengths vs. competition, creating compelling communications for consumers and media on what makes our products unique and worth paying a premium for.
• Organise product education orientated activations (gyms, sporting events) with strong sampling initiatives to drive consideration and trial.
• Drive local partnerships with sporting brands and sporting associations.
• Support on shopper initiatives and in-store point of sale materials.
• Work closely with the Ecommerce team - Curate, create and adapt assets and contents as required.
• Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns and activations with ROI mindset.
• Plan, monitor and review the marketing budget.
• Track existing and new competitors’ marketing activities.
The Skills you will bring to the team:
• Bachelors/University degree, with a focus on Marketing/ Advertising/ Communication or other specializations with relevant experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in implementing field marketing execution and/ or product marketing. FMCG experience a plus.
• Analytical acumen and the ability to work with insights and data.
• Problem solver with a strong passion and good creative eye.
• A digital native with good social media and digital marketing understanding.
• Good communication skills in English (especially written) for communicating with regional and global colleagues (TOIEC 800+).
• Must be passionate about the sporting industry and fitness, wellness and health.
• Resourceful, proactive, energetic and passionate individual with a strong ambition to make a difference and create an impact.
• Strong networker and communicator with good reporting and presentation skills.
• Good interpersonal skills in managing/influencing teams including agency partners.
