This position is responsible for all sales activity within the Cheese Store, drive sales results, communicates clearly with retail customers, keep the appearance of the store professional and clean, reports sales to management, stock shelves, maintain inventory, and other such duties that may arise. Also responsible for managing a small team to assist in operating the store front.

• Identify, interview, and hire great crew members that represent our core values and culture
• Assisting in the planning and organizing of special events throughout the community
• Learn and communicate clearly the flavors and uses of the different varieties of cheese for sale.
• Educate team on and enforce all appropriate personnel policies, labor laws, and security and safety procedures
• Manage cheese store inventory weekly/monthly and ensure ordering and delivery systems are in place
• Manage cheese store marketing via social media, email and text marketing, etc.
• Manage employee schedules for the store and ensure employee coverage.
• Manage donation and cheese distribution/ public & employees
• Work with direct supervisor on promos, deals, etc.
• Stock coolers and keep the product faced and presentable
• Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Effectively handle customer issues.
• Measure customer satisfaction and execute plan to improve both satisfaction and loyalty
• Ensure product quality and security standards are met
• Store cleanliness including laundry washed, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing kitchen and bathrooms. Removal of all garbage & cardboard
• Manage store supplies, purchase when needed
• Ensure proper cash handling, deposit procedures are followed and daily sales are balanced accurately
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops on marketing; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
• Ensure staff is up to date on all food handling tests and procedures to abide by State requirements
• Assist the Glanbia marketing team on cheese marketing box assembly multiple times per year.

• Work on  special projects/activities as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must possess high school diploma or the equivalency.
• Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to run a cash register and the Square register.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
• Ability to manage our fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused Cheese Store
• Knowledge of marketing for social media (Facebook, Instagram, X)
• Knowledge of basic computer marketing software such as Canva, CapCut, etc.
• Ability to use a PC including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
• Ability to solve practical issues and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Self-starter and the ability to work efficiently unsupervised
