The Opportunity
Provide daily support for logistics GN NAFTA or Domestic logistics specialists and identify and implement process optimization projects. Provide functional business support for implementation of new and ongoing system tools such as SLA, TMS, SAP and other core supply chain management tools. Develop weekly leading indicators to support and track team adherence to organization KPI’s and metrics for all NAFTA outbound shipments from Glanbia and 3rd party facilities, as well as reporting to Logistics management (On Time Delivery, Fulfillment, Accuracy, Cost saving targets.). This permanent position will report to the Sr. Manager Global Logistics and Trade Compliance.
- Assist management in tracking outbound shipments to support on-time-delivery expectations of the customer.
- Maintain GPS and safety programs for employees.
- Act as SAP, TMS and logistics business unit user and application support staff.
- Work with the Customer Service and Warehouses to manage orders to meet KPIs.
- Update Logistics data in Corporate Dashboards for timely tracking via SLA.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal departments and external transportation partners to improve transportation effectiveness.
- Prepare and maintain shipping schedules, transit times, and shipping status information as requested.
- Provide backup support to team members in the transportation planning and reporting function as needed.
- Ensure that Transportation Admins are compiling shipping reports to understand the status of orders prior to shipment, during transit and during delivery.
- As required, provide the analysis and follow-up for Glanbia to respond to customer complaints.
- Develop reporting matrixes for KPIs and have them submitted to the executive level of Supply Chain.
- Ensure the freight accrual reporting is current and accurate for all managed shipments.
- Maintain logistics master data in an accurate and timely manner.
- Stay current with NAFTA transportation industry trends, issues, government policies, etc.
- Manage the SAP freight purchase order system through to SAP purchase order completion.
- Collaborate with management during carrier reviews to develop and improve carrier performance..
- Report on the freight recovery progress and ensure that Logistics and Transportation team is efficiently using highest rated carriers from the company’s eTender process.
