The Milk Operations Manager will be responsible for providing analyst support for the milk procurement department, while assisting in managing the milk supply, providing milk pricing and risk management tools support for producers, and liaising with the Idaho dairy industry as a Glanbia representative.

Responsibilities include: 

• Manage the milk volume on a daily basis across all plants and coordinate with Glanbia Transportation dept and external cooperative suppliers.
• Manage cost of production models by keeping them up-to-date and monitoring farmer profitability.
• Assist in managing the Glanbia patron dairy animal welfare program using the FARMs system.
• Direct 3rd party logistics of fluid product movement.
• Lead special projects as assigned to analyze data and help assist maintaining dairy specific database info.
• Maintain and update daily plant components across Idaho; allows year over year changes to be tracked.
• Facilitate milk pricing settlements and payments for outside milk and milk products.
• Assist with milk pricing calculations and the competitive milk pricing landscape in Idaho.
• Assist milk payroll with milk check calculations together with addressing milk price calculation issues as they arise.
• Assist with data collection and analysis for the annual strategy planning process.
• Assist in documenting departmental procedures and procedures that are cross departmental functions.
• Facilitate the procurement of milk, cream and/or whey solids from Idaho based dairymen, co-operatives, or other manufacturers as needed.
• Support the milk team by trouble-shooting problems arising throughout the milk supply chain.
• Maintain Glanbia web based information systems.
• On call support as issues arise with the plants, hauling, cream sales, 3rd party logistics, etc.
• Assist in contract negotiations with patrons and cooperatives.
