The Opportunity 

Join our team as an EHS Coordinator, where you'll play a crucial role in monitoring and enhancing our safety and environmental programs. Your efforts will ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements. You'll evaluate our procedures, facilities, and equipment, conducting inspections to identify and address unsafe conditions. This permanent position will report to the EH&S Manager and the duties and skills include but are not limited to the following; 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate and assist in training employees on safety and company policies.
  • Conduct hazard analysis and support action plans for safety and environmental improvements.
  • Utilize continuous improvement processes to drive zero losses and uphold Glanbia's standards.
  • Maintain compliance calendars and monitor EHS training activities.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and incident investigations.
  • Inspect work areas and machinery for regulatory compliance with OSHA and other compliance regulations.
  • Conduct audits to evaluate compliance and identify improvement areas.
  • Prepare environmental reports and coordinate GRMS audits.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Assists with preparation of  environmental reports such as Tier II, Form R, Waste Water Discharge reports and storm water inspections.

  

The Skills you will bring to the team

 

  • Degree preferred; 1-3 years of plant experience in related industry / manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Flexibility to support all shifts.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong communication skills for writing reports and speaking effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic math and interpreting bar graphs.
  • Strong prioritization, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Problem-solving skills for handling various concrete variables.
  • Proficient in personal computer skills, including email, record keeping, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
  • Ability to spend 90% of the day on the production floor.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.  The annual salary for Connecticut based employees for this role is $65,000 - $75,000.
