The Opportunity 

Join our dynamic premix manufacturing plant as a Quality Control Chemist. In this pivotal role, you will conduct analytical testing of minerals and vitamins in raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products using ICP-OES and HPLC. Your expertise will ensure our products meet all internal and external specifications, regulatory standards, and customer expectations. This permanent position will report to the QC Lab Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following; 

• Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, blends, and finished products using ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy) and HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography).
• Accurately prepare samples, standards, and reagents in accordance with approved procedures.
• Interpret and report analytical results with precision and attention to detail.
• Conduct out-of-specification (OOS) investigations, including root cause analysis and reporting.
• Support method development, validation, and troubleshooting activities as needed.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
• Document all testing activities, data, and findings in accordance with GMP and internal quality procedures.
• Participate in internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

   The Skills you will bring to the team

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience performing ICP-OES and/or HPLC analyses, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, and FDA regulations preferred.
• Excellent technical writing skills for documentation and investigation reports.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.  The annual salary for Connecticut based employees for this role is $50,000 -$56,000.
