Job Title: Associate Commercial Finance Manager (SEA)
Reports To: Head of Finance – SEA
Key Accountabilities
1) Actuals Reporting
• Monitor daily sales orders tracking against Budget/Forecast/Latest Estimate.
• Prepare sales reports: by customers, by Region, and by products on a monthly basis or as required.
• Prepare Trade Spend/rebates and marketing expenses accruals on monthly basis.
• Prepare forecasts such as Budget, Forecasts and Actuals analysis on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
2) Commercial Support:
• Review month end P&Ls and assist in building P&Ls needed for incremental growth and profitability decisions.
• Monitor on-going sales outlook for SEA region.
• Design, evaluate and monitor rebate and promotional plans.
• Review all promo templates before submission for approval.
• Review all claims from our customers for approval from Head of Finance.
• Support HoF in preparation of budgets/forecasts/outlook.
• Track customers’ sell-out and inventory (DOH) to ensure proper inventory level maintained at customer level.
• Prepare and analyze monthly business review deck before submission.
• Ensure customer’s prices are properly maintained in SAP.
• Assist in preparing ROI calculation of Trade and marketing spend.
• Prepare, maintain and track business KPIs, including compliance requirement.
• Support NPD/Innovation financial template.
• Reviewing and optimizing the Value-chain for every SEA customer with the support of Commercial team.
3) Customers’ Claim Review and Processing
• Review all claims received from distributors/customers, before providing the claim docs to HoF for approval.
• Keeping track of all customers’ claims and ensure claims are properly accounted for and match against accruals set-up for that purpose.
• Arranging NDC [No Dues Certificate] on Quarterly basis from all the SEA Customers
4) Ad-Hoc Projects
• Assist in any ad-hoc projects required to support business growth and profitability in the Region as well as for process improvements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong PC skills including MS Office; particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Hands on operator who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the job done working independently with little supervision
• Strong problem solving skills with high attention to detail
• Sound accounting, reporting and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Fast and accurate alpha-numeric keyboard skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a strong team player and demonstrate dedication to company goals
• Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines and work volumes
• Self-motivated with initiative and performance driven
• Excellent analytical skills; able to identify and solve complex analytical problems and draw conclusions through analysis of data
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum 5-7 years’ experience in FMCG or similar within global MNC.
• Experience in commercial financial and accounting practice preferably international
• Experience in managing complex models across currencies, countries and regulations
• A working knowledge of SAP preferred
• Experience in managing complex stakeholders and a passion for process improvement
