We are hiring a Sr HRG - due to an internal promotion - for our Aurora, IL plant. 

 

The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing hands-on HR support, strategic partnership, and guidance to leaders and employees within two of Glanbia’s manufacturing facilities. The Sr. HR Generalist will partner closely with the HRBP team, leaders from the business, and HR COEs to deliver value-added impact for leaders and employees that reflect Glanbia’s values and help achieve business objectives. 

Responsibilities include:

Strategic & Operational HR Support:

  • Partner with business leaders to provide day‑to‑day HR support, ensuring alignment with company policies, values, and business goals.

Workforce Planning:

  • Support workforce planning by analyzing labor needs, partnering with Talent Acquisition, and ensuring smooth hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Assist in developing strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement.

Talent Management & Leadership Development

  • Assist with talent initiatives such as succession planning, talent reviews, and employee development programs as directed by HR leadership.
  • Deliver or facilitate training programs for frontline leaders and employees, including leveraging existing talent development resources.

Culture Champion

  • Assist in planning and support execution of engagement initiatives, wellbeing programs, and inclusion & belonging activities at the site level. Support effective communication and change management efforts for site‑level or enterprise initiatives.

Employee Relations

  • Lead and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and recommending solutions that align with company values and compliance requirements.

Performance Management

  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, performance evaluations, and employee development plans.

People Analytics & HR Projects

  • Maintain and utilize HR metrics to identify trends, support problem‑solving, and recommend improvements that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead or partner with other team members to execute people-related projects to help achieve business and cultural goals.
  • Conduct compensation analyses and provide recommendations to maintain competitive and equitable pay structures.

Legal Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across multiple sites.

 

Decision Making/Problem Solving:

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management on all disciplinary and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with leaders and recruiting team to ensure efficient staffing process; determine when to post jobs, what type of worker is needed, and which recruiting team to use based on close working knowledge of operational staffing needs and processes.
  • Partner with COEs, HRBP team, and business leaders to identify leadership training needs and create or modify programs and facilitate training to achieve the objectives.

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field and at least 2 years of HR experience
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) communications skills strongly preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or related environment is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence business leaders on people issues
  • Proven ability to effectively lead employee relations investigations to resolution
  • Working knowledge of human resources best practices and US employment law
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence, and collaborate at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of Talent Development and/or Adult learning
  • Strong PC skills and understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

This position serves as a trusted partner with business leaders on people-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent, relentlessly improving the employee experience across multiple functions and locations, including our flagship manufacturing plant in Aurora, IL. The role assesses and anticipates people-related needs, communicating proactively, and collaborating effectively to develop integrated solutions.

Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles; the annual salary for this role is $80,000- $95,000 plus an annual bonus. This range may not be applicable to other locations and targeted salary is midpoint of range.
