Role Profile
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cheese Grader who plans, organises and co-ordinates grading and allocation of cheese to optimise returns to the business. Located in Abbey Quarter and travelling to our manufacturing sites and storage facilities, this role reports to the Production Planning Manager and supports the delivery of Tirlán’s cheese strategy. The role is tasked with reviewing cheese on an ongoing basis and rebalancing and reallocating, as needed, to ensure cheese is moved in a timely and effective manner. This is a key role in delivering our award winning cheese to customers around the globe and involves collaboration with a number of functions and stakeholders to continuously deliver quality cheese  meet our customers’ demands.


Responsibilities
•    Ensure all Tirlán supplied cheese is graded to customer requirements and meets overall customer specifications. 
•    Ensure grading is done in a timely fashion and results maintained on the Tirlán SAP system. 
•    Closely monitor demand and maintain ongoing supply of suitable product to meet forecasted requirements. 
•    Ensure optimal returns are generated for the business through the timely grading and allocation of cheese through understanding end-customer needs
•    Maintain a close working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders – Planning, Commercial, Operations, Quality, R & D, Finance teams.
•    Develop a close working relationship with Production teams and provide regular feedback on grading, cheese quality, customer requirements and allocation. 
•    Coordinate with key customers on grading, cheese selection and supply issues. Undertake joint grading as required.
•    Maintain accurate and comprehensive grading notes. Provide analysis and reporting to a broad stakeholder group


Requirements
•    Experience in and strong knowledge of cheese production 
•    Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite & a working knowledge of SAP an advantage) and able to manage through systems
•    Understanding and experience of S&OP process
•    Experience with inventory management/ ERP systems – SAP experience an advantage
•    Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, organisational agility
•    Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication skills and interpersonal savvy
•    Good judgement skills and ability to leverage information
•    A Science or Nutrition degree qualification with experience in the dairy or food sector an advantage
•    Self-starter with a strong drive for results
•    Travel within Ireland and UK is required as part of the role
•    Full clean Irish driving licence and vehicle
