Sales Intern

Glanbia Performance Nutrition is a wholly owned subsidiary of Glanbia headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois. GPN manufactures and markets the full range of performance nutrition products including protein, pre-workout, muscle gainers, and general health. Products are sold through a variety of channels including specialty retail, the internet, and gyms in a variety of formats including powders, bars, and Ready-to-Drink beverages. GPN has a global and expanding footprint with a current in-market presence in 24 countries.

Job/Project Summary:

In this role, you will get exposure to the Glanbia Performance Nutrition organization while working on a key project throughout your internship.  Your time will provide you with exposure and connectivity with individuals across cross-functional teams, engagement with external customers, and networking with other GPN interns.

You will own a key project for the summer that you will shape, develop, and then present to the larger organization. Outside of the main project, you will be a key contributor to a variety of sales tasks throughout the summer.

Learning Objectives:

• Gain an understanding of how brands come to life within the retail landscape.
• Develop analytical capabilities, presentation skills, story-telling, and strategic influencing.
• Gain a holistic understanding of the GPN business and culture while gaining true exposure to the day-to-day functions of GPN’s sales teams.  
• Gain exposure to the organization, learn the ways of working in the incredible health and wellness sales space, and be a key part of the team.
• Develop cross-functional team management.

Expected Outcomes:

• Intern team project and final project presentation
• Strong team collaboration in day-to-day tasks
• Active participation in company and intern activities

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should be a current junior in their undergraduate program, studying Business or a related field. 

Must be able to commute to Downers Grove, IL
