The Opportunity
Glanbia recognises master data as an important data asset and enabler of business performance. A centralised masterdata governance team is in place to ensure policies, processes, technologies, and ways of working are embedded in the business to maximise the quality of the organisations masterdata.
An opportunity has arisen for a senior masterdata professional to take the lead role in the centralised masterdata governance team. This role will report into the Head of the CoE for BI and Data Analytics and will be responsible for further developing and delivering on the masterdata governance strategy across Glanbia.
- Drive a strategic masterdata governance vision, strategy, and operating model across Glanbia, aligning relevant technical and business teams.
- Management of an established team of masterdata professionals (6) including the prioritisation and delivery of the programme of projects and maintenance of robust and reliable operational governance activities.
- Identify opportunities and create capacity in the team to expand the remit of masterdata governance into new areas of the business.
- Be a trusted partner of the relevant business functions in the Glanbia and work with them to drive excellence in masterdata through adoption of technologies, policies and best in class operating model for data governance.
- Continue to raise the profile of masterdata governance within GBS and the business, and ensure the team is recognised as experts and owners of masterdata design and governance.
The skills you will bring to the team
- Relevant 3rd level education
- A significant number of years gained working in masterdata management or enterprise data governance,
- Experience in managing a team of data professionals
- Experience of working an S4 landscape with strong domain expertise
- Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for understanding complex business processes and functions.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence across diverse technical and business streams.
- Strong leadership skills with experience motivating and developing data professionals working in a face paced environment.
