The Opportunity

A vacancy has arisen for the role of SAP Basis Support Engineer at Glanbia Business Services. This is a permanent position & will report to the Application Technology Manager.  

Glanbia plc operates a world-class Business Applications suite comprising SAP and  other Enterprise class solutions  , both on premise and cloud based , to support the business in reaching its objectives. The SAP Basis Support Engineer  will be part of the team responsible for the on-going design and support of IT enabled solutions for the global business.

• Participate in the  Technical  Administration, Integration & Support (Netweaver/Basis) for the group SAP eco-system both on-premise and Cloud based (hybrid)  
• Participate in the  Technical Administration & Support  of the group non-SAP systems 
• Support of the in-house Application Development, Glanbia Business Services Centres of Excellence and Business Application Support Teams.
• Working with the wider Technical Teams to deliver additional functionality / components as required by the Business.
• Participate in the design of the ongoing evolution of the on premise solution landscape which will also encompass SAP Analytics Cloud , Datasphere , C4C , BTP , CPI  etc
   

The skills you will bring to the team

• Third level qualification in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent
•  3+ years SAP NetWeaver Administration experience or equivalent enterprise class system administration/DBA experience
• Proficiency in one or more SAP technologies (Eg ECC, S/4Hana, BW, BO, C4C, BTP ) would be an advantage
• Experience in cloud technologies/integration desirable
• Exposure to planning, design, installation, and technical configuration of SAP components
• Strong technical aptitude
